Queen Bee Coffee Company

beans - roasted - well - It's way more than a slogan. It's what we do! We source "beans". Those beans are "roasted" & someone gets a "well". Simple.

We are a family owned business operating in a small southern town. We love Jesus, bow ties, cowboy boots, cupcakes, trampolines, and playing ball. We never do anything half-way or half-hearted. We love deep and laugh hard. The only place we'd rather be than on the back porch with friends and family is out getting our hands dirty in service to someone else. Coffee was a way to do both. Coffee has always been a staple in our home, but our dream for the coffee business was bigger than ourselves and our quaint community. We wanted to make a real difference in the lives of people around the world- the ones who don't wake up to a pot of coffee because they don't wake up to a pot of water. A portion of the proceeds from every single bag we sell goes to drill wells in third world countries- 20% to be exact. So, as you brew the best coffee in the world, smile. You've just drilled a little deeper to bring water to the thirsty.

Happy 2nd Workiversary. This is Sarah. You will never meet a harder worker, a kinder spirit or more faithful friend. We are blessed to have her on our STAFF. Please thank her today for all she does to make McDonough a better place to be! We are very thankful as she has put up with the growing pains of QB and helped us to get where we are today. Serving Together And Forming Family for 2 years and counting!

Palettes, Pictionary & Panama Joes.... What a fun Friday!!! We will have pencils, markers & sidewalk chalk tomorrow 6/24 from 6-9p. Make a team and compete in Pictionary on the patio at 7. Sip on a Panama Joe WITH homemade whipped cream of course!

Bad news - Connor's iMac (olive green CamelBack backpack) has been stolen from his truck. It happened either at Salem Baptist Park Saturday between 1:10-1:50pm. He leaves for Africa Tuesday morning until December so this is miracle territory. It's more the data than the device we would like to recover. Police report filed. iMac locked. If you saw anything suspicious around his 98 Chevy 1500 (white extended cab), please let us know. Thank you!

Did you remember? It's Father's Day in a couple days.. swing by and grab some golf cookies for your favorite golfer dad. (If he isn't a golfer, just get the cookie anyway. It's delicious.)

We are back and we are better for it. The shop is better for it and hopefully our community is better for it. Come hang on the new deck tonight and enjoy some amazing live music with POPS (Performing On the Patio Saturday). Music starts at 5:30 and rolls through til 9p!

It’s 2017 and in some ways it seems like a long time since we opened in Dec of 2013. In other ways, it seems like just yesterday. In May 2013, after being open for only six months, we took a crazy leap of faith and closed for the week of Memorial Day. There were multiple reasons for that decision. One of which is we believe that we are wired in such a way that we need rest time to just recover. As we’ve grown since then, it’s honestly a much harder decision to close for that week but ultimately it’s what we believe we should do. If we need the rest, so do our employees. Sure, we could leave the shop in their capable hands but as we always say… this is about more than coffee. This business is about making a difference in the lives of those growing our coffee, the lives of our community as well as the lives of our employees. We want to teach them lessons that stay with them their whole lives. So as crazy as it may seem to close for a week, please know it is our way of saying “slow down and rest” to each and every one of you. This world can exhaust you and you get but one chance. Make sure you have time with your loved ones.

This week we will be loading up and getting away to do some camping and watching a few sunsets. We will be closed Sat-Sat (5/27-6/3). Thank you for your patience and we hope you too will take some time to rest and reset with your family!

We are crazy about these bars and want to encourage you to try them so...It's contest time! Here are the rules of the game:
1. One ticket awarded per bar purchased through Saturday.
2. There is no limit to how many bars you may purchase.
3. Drawing takes place and winner will be announced Monday.
4. The person with the most tickets will receive a variety pack of Redd Bars and a Redd Bar beanie!

🙌🏼 to our City of McDonough leaders for pulling traffic data, sending emails, making phone calls and getting GDOT onsite so fast to review this critical issue! This intersection has been a very dangerous place for a long time. We welcome the changes that will contribute to safer roads for our community! Nothing is perfect but we can always work to make it better....

I ♥ McDonough, Georgia

Enough is enough. We'd like to request a huge speed bump / speed control device to be installed before we witness a preventable fatality. We have lost count of the number of accidents that have occurred at this intersection. Almost weekly, cars collide at Griffin and Sloan. Just as often, we see drivers coming up Griffin Street GOING THE WRONG DIRECTION. Drivers, SLOW DOWN and PAY ATTENTION. City of McDonough, take notice and make our city safe. I ♥ McDonough, Georgia and the quaintness of our downtown district. The merchants are working hard to create an appeal and give our citizens a reason to stay local for shopping and dining. Please do your part in keeping them safe as they navigate our town.

This Saturday is a great day in McDonough Life! Start the day at Hood Street Art Center at their Yard Sale & Art Show at 8am. (You can even grab some QB coffee over there.) Then stroll across to our coffee shop for good times with old and new friends over a cinnamon roll and latte. While you sit and visit, we'll have local artisans showing up to set up shop in our parking lot for a Maker's Market from 12-5. When you get done buying your Mother's Day presents, flip a coin to choose at which awesome Downtown District restaurant you will eat.
